Hidden in plain sight this property exerts a quiet yet unobtrusive presence on the corner of two prominent streets in the Strand, less than a kilometre from the beachfront. Working within the constraints of an existing structure, a series of refined spatial interventions were created by the architect to craft a home that feels both timeless and contemporary. Large windows and doors were added that access the patios, pool and balconies on the upper floor. Bay windows (26m2) were added to the main bedroom suite and adjoining bedroom/study on the upper level, each with a balcony overlooking the rear garden and pool.
